Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each bread slice and arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper; add them to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and vinegar (or broth). Simmer, then stir in lemon juice before returning shrimp to coat in sauce.
  5. Serve warm shrimp in bowls alongside garlic bread.
