  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, pumpkin puree, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, and salt before adding to the wet mixture.
  4. Chill the dough covered in the refrigerator for 25 minutes.
  5. Shape into balls about 1½ – 2 tablespoons in size on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 18 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  7. For frosting, beat softened cream cheese and butter together; then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  8. Cool cookies completely before frosting them.
