Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour for crumb topping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for crumb topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8×4-inch bread pans and line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, sugars, and spices until well combined.
  3. Create a well in the dry ingredients and add in oil and eggs. Mix until just combined before incorporating pumpkin puree and water.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  5. For the crumb topping, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle crumb topping over the batter in both pans and bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
