  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 cup cold, unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. softened butter
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the brown sugar, softened butter, and cinnamon in a bowl to make the filling.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, corn starch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream cold cubed butter with granulated sugar until smooth using a stand mixer.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla extract; blend until incorporated.
  6. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  7. Shape the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface and spread the cinnamon filling evenly over it.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 10–12 equal pieces.
