  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink (3-4 minutes). Gently stir in crab meat and frozen vegetables.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stir to coat, then gradually add seafood stock while stirring continuously. Add heavy cream and simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  5. Pour the seafood mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix with shredded cheddar cheese and milk until a dough forms.
  7. Spoon dollops of the biscuit dough over the seafood filling.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the biscuit topping is golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
